Multiplicate human, artist, and creative

I began dancing at the age of 5. I obtained most of my pre-collegiate training at the Central Indiana Academy of Dance, where I studied ballet, modern, contemporary, and neo-classical movement, and was also part of the resident pre-professional company, Central Indiana Dance Ensemble.

I continued my dance education in college, attending Indiana University Contemporary Dance to pursue a degree in Dance. I graduated with a BFA in Dance, BA in Media, and minor in Arts Management in Spring 2023.
At IU, I studied various dance styles focusing on contemporary, modern, and improvisation, with additional opportunities to study the African diaspora, ballet, musical theatre, house, and tap. I had the opportunity to work with guest artists such as Braeden Barnes (Visceral), Michelle Meltzer (Visceral), Evelyn (Chien-ying) Wang, Justin Sears-Watson (Phoenix Rising), and Erik Abbott-Main (Boy Friday, Sleep No More). I participated in department shows, student-led shows, independent projects, and other supplemental creative works, performing numerous roles both onstage and offstage.

At IU, I spearheaded projects uplifting multi-cultural dance experiences in partnership with other student-led organizations, and I had the valuable opportunity to work with and learn from my peers.

I am the 2022 recipient of the “Theatre & Drama Merit Award” recognizing outstanding contributions and dedication to both academic and production work in the Department of Theatre, Drama, and Contemporary Dance.
Being an artist necessitates multiplicity in both life and work. Through the arts, I discovered an ardor for collaboration, problem solving, and multi-stage projects that create story-sharing platforms and spaces.

Following my graduation from college, I served world-renowned, historical Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival as Marketing & Digital Media Intern in 2024, which was a summer of great connectivity, growth, and nurturing my passion for the arts.

I am currently a Digital Marketing Analyst for Capacity Interactive, a marketing consultancy serving arts, culture, non-profit, entertainment, and event organizations in the US and Canada.

I am the Blog Team Lead for The Nanchang Project, a non-profit organization supporting the reunification of Chinese-international adoptees and Chinese birth families through DNA testing, document translation support, and partnership with searchers. The Nanchang Project Blog launched in August 2024 and is continuing to broaden the scope of its coverage and cultivate a space for diverse adoptee experiences to be uplifted and unfiltered. More projects are always in the works!

Time permitting, I also have a passion for educating new generations of responsible dance artists. I focus on supporting a dance space centered around curiosity, exploration, and discovery through encouraging dancers to make choices, think creatively, and explore unfamiliar movement patterns, cultivating their unique dance identities.
