Multiplicate human, artist, and creative

SALT (May I Borrow a Cup of Salt) by Erik Abbott-Main
I’m KC (she/her). I am a Chinese-American, transnational, transracial adoptee, an identity that is central to my philosophy and practice as a creative. I was raised in Westfield, Indiana and I am currently based in the Indianapolis area.

I am a graduate of Indiana University Bloomington. I hold a dual degree Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Dance and Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Media with a concentration in Advertising, as well as a Minor in Arts Management. I am also a Kane School certified Mat Pilates Instructor.

I am fascinated with trying to understand people’s/my underlying motivations, which takes the form of varying personality tests and astrological analyses. My Myers-Briggs Personality Type is ISTP (Virtuoso). My Enneagram Type is 5w6 (the Investigator). In Chinese astrology, I am born in the year of the Golden/Metallic Dragon. I am True Neutral on the Moral Alignment Test. In western astrology, my big three are Virgo, Leo, and Scorpio. And according to the internet, the color of my aura is Forest.

I am a generalist meaning that I have a natural curiosity and desire to learn new things and acquire new knowledge, thus developing many different skills — some useful, some not.

I am a serial hobbyist (and hyper-fixate-er). I am an occasional photographer, painter, curator, seamstress, crocheter, cook. I am a boba-enthusiast, cat-cuddler, Pinterest-addict, bibliophile, ramen-consumer, Korean-learner, and nocturnal furniture-rearranger. I love moving from project to project, learning from doing, taking things apart and improving them. Let’s just say I like to dabble.
